Boulder, Colorado, September 13, 2017 – Sospes announced today that 20% of profits from all sales through the end of the year will be donated to Direct Relief for hurricane relief efforts following the devastating destruction of Harvey and Irma.
Hurricane Harvey caused extensive damage across south Texas and parts of Louisiana ten days ago as it brought excessive rainfall and catastrophic flooding, killing at least 74 people. Then hurricane Irma wreaked catastrophic damage across the northern Caribbean islands and Puerto Rico with nearly 40 fatalities so far last week as an unprecedented Category 5 storm, then turned north into Florida leading to the evacuation of a third of the residents of that state.
“It is devastating to see the pictures of absolute destruction coming out of these areas in which people have lost everything, with hope of recovery weeks, months or in some cases years away,” said Tom Carson, president of Sospes. “If in fact ‘many hands make light work’, I hope many of our colleagues will join us to lend a hand for these folks. Sospes will donate 20% of its profits from now until the end of the year to the Direct Relief organization to support its hurricane relief effort.”
